Raymond G. Zwach Age 91 Iron River, MIDied Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Iron River Care Center. Born: June 21, 1920 in Chicago, IL The son of the late George and Anna (Richter) Zwach attended the Chicago schools, graduating from Chicago High School in 1939. He then attended Technical College to get his certification as a Master Electrician. He was employed as a radio technician at Zenith Radio in Chicago for ten years prior to moving to the Iron River area in 1948. He was then employed as an electrician in the mining industry for 20 years, retiring in 1994. Following his retirement, he owned and operated R & E Electric in Stambaugh for nine years. Raymond married the former Eunnice Westman on August 19, 1944 at the First Lutheran Church of Iron River and the couple made their home in Stambaugh. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Iron River, the Elks Lodge, the Kiwanis, the Engineers Club and the Masonic Lodge of Chicago and Iron River. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and woodworking in his shop. He was also instrumental in helping to get the Iron County Museum established. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, George and two sisters, Bernice Kitch and Mildred Albright. He is survived by his wife, Eunnice Daughters, Elaine (Jim) Bristow of Livonia, MI Carol (Tom) Pruente of Waterford, MI Five grandchildren, Jeff, (Joli) Bristow, Dan (Melissa) Bristow, Tom, Katie and Victoria Ging Two great grandchildren, Riley and Griffin Bristow Visitation: Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, and Monday, December 19, 2011 from 10:00 to 10:45 at the First Lutheran Church, Iron River. Funeral Service: Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Iron River, with Rev. Bonny Kinnunen to officiate.
