Norma M. Wiegand

Mrs. Norma Wiegand Age 75 Iron River passed away Friday morning, February 16, 2007 at her home. Born May 7, 1931 in Detroit, MI The daughter of the late Anthony and Rosalie (Premier) Gietzen attended Holy Name Grade School and Sts. Cyril and Methodius High School in Detroit, MI. Norma married Charles Wiegand Sr. on May 30, 1950 at Holy Name Parish, Detroit, MI. and the couple made their home in Sterling Heights, until moving to Iron River in 1971. They celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary in 2006. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Watersmeet, where she served as volunteer secretary for 20 years. She liked to paint, read, crochet, garden, and enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed watching the birds and listening to wind chimes. Her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the love of her life. She was preceded in death by one son, Anthony, and a grandson, Timothy Wiegand.
