June A. Dedo Age 84 Caspian, MI Died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. Born: May 29, 1927 in Oshkosh, WI The daughter of the late Lewis and Shrona (Tackett) Monnot attended the Pearson, WI and Iron River, MI schools, graduating from Iron River High School. She married Rudolph "Rudy" J. Dedo on December 3, 1948 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and the couple made their home in Caspian. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in 2011. She was employed at several local grocery stores and later as a cook/dietitian at the Iron County Community Hospital until her retirement in 1989. June was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian for 61 years and a member of St. Ann’s Society. June enjoyed being with her family, camping and spending time in her yard. She loved to sit in her screened house and she prepared many wonderful barbequed meals for family and friends. She loved to bake and was well known for the beautiful and delicious cakes she made for people in the community. She also loved to crochet and knit and made many hand-made gifts for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Dedo Andraschko; Great Grandson, Quinn Lewis Dedo, four brothers, Gene, Gerald, Paul and Louis Monnot; and two sisters, Evelyn Monnot Rehak and Dolores Monnot Lord. She is survived by her husband, Rudy Two sons; Frank (Kay) Dedo of Crystal Falls John (Patricia) Dedo of Norway, MI One daughter, Judith (Rick) Parmantier of East China Township, MI Three brothers; Robert (Kathy) Monnot of Dolthan, AL Irvin Monnot of Clintonville, WI Russell (Betty) Monnot of Oshkosh, WI Two sisters; Susan (Ronald) Lindstrom of Iron River Patricia(Eddie) Impola of Iron River Five grandchildren, Jordan, Blaise, Leeanne, Nathan and Ryan Seven Great Grandchildren, Lucie, Cooper, Myles, Bobby, Nathan, Alexis and Ashlyn Several Nieces and Nephews Visitation: Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services: Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian with Rev. Gregory Veneklase, Pastor to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of St. Ann’s Society will form an Honor Guard at the service. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Stambaugh Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
