Joan M. Gibneski Age 80 Iron River, MIDied Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. Born: April 1, 1931 in Amasa, MI The daughter of the late Harry and Lillian (Pari) Gill attended the Amasa Schools, moving to Iron River in 1947. Joan married Theodore "Ted" Gibneski on July 22, 1967 at Christ United Methodist Church in Crystal Falls, MI, and the couple made their home in Iron River. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in 2002. Ted preceded her in death on December 9, 2002. Joan enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Ted L. Gibneski of Iron River Daughters, Bonnie (Larry) Evanoff of Caspian Patricia (John) Roberts of Iron River Brother, Harold (Catherine) Gill of Amasa Four grandchildren, Jodi Sleik of Honolulu, HI Jeffrey (Lisa) Evanoff of Anchorage, AK Timothy and John Roberts of Iron River Three great grandchildren, Rylee, Reese and Olivia Nieces, nephews and extended family Her dog, Pepe She was also preceded in death by her children's father, Lawrence Gross, her brothers, Ronald, Robert and Jack Gill, and sister, Betty Premo.
